Now that you’ve finished planning your dream day, it’s time to start thinking about your honeymoon! Where will you go? Will you go abroad, stay local, go to a favourite spot or try somewhere new? Just when you thought all the wedding planning was over it’s time to get your thinking caps on and start all over again
If you have a tight budget there are plenty of fabulous locations you can check out locally that will still provide a sense of romanticism and love, you don’t need to fly to the Bahamas to to know your partner loves you.
But you do need to feel relaxed and comfortable, after all it’s meant to be the reward for all the hard work you’ve put in to your wedding day over the past few months. It’s also a time that you can spend with your loved one without any interruptions from friends and family, don’t worry if someone calls up to ask where you got your delightful wedding lanterns from, it’s your time to shut out the rest of the world and enjoy eachother’s company.
So, where to from here? Do you go for the ever popular beach honeymoon where you can laze around in the sun all day and drink cocktails by night? Or perhaps the countryside is more your scene, you and your partner can enjoy being alone in the vast rolling hills, drinking wine and having luxury service. Or perhaps a winter destination is right up your alley where you can snuggle up next to a log fire and spend your days on the slopes.
Whatever you choose you need to ensure you remember this is time for you and your partner you do not need to have dinner with other couples or feel as though you need to make contact with your friends and family back home. Turn your mobile phone off and leave that blackberry at home!
