Don’t get bogged down in all the wedding hype about what’s expected at your wedding, there’s no need to follow tradition or rules when it comes to your special day. If you want something out of the ordinary, then go ahead and have it! If it’s important to you, it will suit your wedding and will create a memorable wedding for your guests as well.

Milk and cookies are a great snack to serve at the end of your reception
Of course we advocate the use of wedding lanterns at the end of your reception to end the evening to create a magical and eventful moment for you all, but there are lots of ways to create that personal touch to make your wedding an extra special day for you, your partner and your guests.
Something as simple as having your favourite food items from childhood on the dinner menu, or having one of your hobbies as the table centrepiece theme can really make your wedding personal.
Late night snacks might be a great way to add that personal touch whilst at the same time curing your guests hunger pains, which they will no doubt have if they are up late partying the night away at your reception. Milk and cookies, milkshakes, mini hot dogs and burgers are all popular ways to satisfy the hunger as well as bring back childhood memories.
If you did ballet as a child you could even have ballet shoes as the table centrepieces, or if you played netball you could have netballs – things like that may sound a little childish, but it will remind people who’s wedding they are attending!
